It will probably be surprising to you if I say that people who have made sports their career don’t always eat salads and other healthy food, at least not ones on our list. Go on reading to learn about these famous athletes’ crazy appetites!

Serena Williams

One of the best tennis players of all time, Serena Williams follows a strict and well thought out diet. This athlete is a vegan, and she doesn’t consume any processed sugar. Her typical dinner is just some rice with hemp seeds. However, in 2016, her experiment with food shocked her numerous fans. Serena decided to film herself trying dog food. Well, this probably wasn’t the best idea of the famous tennis player, but at least it made for a good video, right? And content is our everything.

Vince Young

Do you think you like cheesecakes? Even if that’s your favorite food ever, you’ll probably fail to compare to Vince Young, the NFL quarterback. In order to maintain his strange diet, he ate so many desserts that his bill at the Cheesecake Factory was around $5,000… every week. But even that wasn’t enough for him; he could also be seen at dinner at different chains, and once he left $6,000 on just one bill at a TGI Fridays. The Health benefits of such eating habits remain unclear, but they probably made for a good tip for the waiters.

Michael Phelps

Being an extremely famous and accomplished swimmer, Michael Phelps used to consume approximately 12,000 calories each day when he was preparing for the Beijing Olympics in 2008. His diet included lots of eggs, French toasts, as well as pancakes, and that’s just for breakfast. His lunch at that time included pasta as well as sandwiches with mayo. And for dinner, it was ok for him to have a whole pizza! One thing we can learn here is that if you’d like to consume 12,000 calories a day, stick to Italian cuisine combined with mayo.

Usain Bolt

The 2008 Beijing Olympic Games were full of events when it comes to shocking diets. This time it’s the turn of runner Usain Bolt to surprise us. He won lots of titles, set a new world record in his discipline, got the nickname of the fastest man on Earth, and he once ate a HUNDRED chicken nuggets in just one day. Maybe this last thing isn’t the most important achievement in his career, but it sure did bring him an honorable place in this rating. Who knows, maybe he has McDonald’s chain to thank for his incredible results (but probably not).

Tim Lincecum

Tim Lincecum, a famous baseball player for the San Francisco Giants, has very curious eating habits. The ace pitcher likes burgers at In-N-Out, this classic fast-food chain. The athlete sometimes has three Double-Doubles for a meal, but they should be without lettuce and tomatoes. He completes this nightmare of a dietician kind of meal with two portions of French fries and a milkshake on top of all that. The total calorie count of this treat is 3,150 calories.

Dwayne The Rock Johnson

Based on the Instagram posts made by the Rock, he’s either eating very healthy food or on his cheat days, he consumes yummy-looking meals an athlete can only see in his wildest dreams. This one time, Dwayne The Rock Johnson ate a ton of chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies for a dessert. Well, if someone has a similar shape, they probably don’t have to worry about such small things.

Spencer Myers

Spencer Myers proves that it’s not necessary to be a professional league sportsman to have a crazy diet. When he was a college athlete, Myers participated not only in football competitions but also in wrestling. At that time, he consumed as many as 10,000 calories every day! How? He was a huge proponent of snacks. The kind of snacks that would be enough for an entire meal for ordinary people. The options include sandwiches with peanut butter and jelly, protein bars, goldfish crackers, a whole plate of pasta, chicken sandwiches, etc. Someone has to be a real sports enthusiast to burn that much energy.

Ryan Lochte

And we’re back to 2008 Beijing Olympics and McDonald’s. Swimmer Ryan Lochte, who won as many as 4 medals in that competition, was eating fast food from the famous chain all day every day. His standard dinner consisted of a Big Mac, a double cheeseburger, and lots of chicken nuggets. His usual lunch was almost the same, with the bonus of French fries. I see two possible variants: either there’s something helping to compete in McDonald’s or all of these athletes who were consuming good old chicken nuggets in Beijing simply aren’t big fans of Chinese food.
