2010th is full of inspiring sports movies about different kinds of sports and athletes. The 2020th will probably be as rich in films of this genre as the previous decade 2020 will bring us several great tales.

Terre Battue
A great story about a man who became unemployed and lost his wife but didn’t lose a will. He dreams of independent business as well as the success of his younger son in tennis. This sports film was released in December of 2014 and directed by French director Stéphane Demoustier.
Sarah Prefers To Run
Chloé Robichaud directed a movie released in May of 2014 about Sarah, a runner who’s only aim in life is to compete and run despite life problems.
When The Game Stands Tall
Jima Caviezel and Alexander Ludwig cast in a wonderful film of Thomas Carter telling us a story of a football coach that managed to succeed with an average high school team. The team was suffering from losses and problems but he leads the team to an impressive winning streak. The release happened in August 2014.
Foxcatcher
John du Pont (Steve Carell) a billionaire and a fan of wrestling hired two brothers, both Olympic champs (Channing Tatum, Mark Ruffalo) for creating a team that could take part in Olympic Games in Seoul. Unfortunately, the character’s traits of John are threatening to people surrounding him. Released in January of 2015 and directed by Bennet Miller.
Rush
Great picture about race contest between famous racers, Nikki Lauda and James Hunt. The actions of the movie are concentrated on a season of Formula 1 that was a season of a true rivalry. Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Brühl starred the main characters of Rush appeared on screens in September of 2013.
Battle of the Sexes
The story telling us about the worldwide famous match of Billie Jean King, a tennis player known as a Champion and a fighter for equity of men and women from one side and former champion Bobby Riggs. It was picturized in 2017 by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris.
Borg/McEnroe
One more movie about the historical tennis rivalry of Wimbledon 1980. Two tennis stars Borg and McEnroe were starred by Sverrir Gudnason and Shia LaBeouf respectively. The sports film became available for watching in April 2018.
Creed 2
The second part of Rocky Balboa saga about a young boxer, Adonis (Michael B. Jordan), son of Apollo Creed, a friend of Rocky (Sylvester Stallone). Old champion helps Adonis to prepare to fight with the son of Ivan Drago, Vitor Drago. The release of Creed 2 happened in November 2018.
Ride Like a Girl
Based on the real story of female jockey Michelle Payne starred by Teresa Palmer, tells us about Melbourne Cup 2015 that was surprisingly won by Michelle who showed will, courage and passion. The real story of 2015 was released by Rachel Griffiths pretty soon, in March 2020.
High Flying Bird
This sports film of Steven Soderbergh released in 2019, is about a business deal of sports agent, Ray Burke, who tries to increase interest to NBA league thanks to the new ambitious and talented client, player Erick Scott.
Torrance
The main character in the person of Ben Affleck is an ex-basketball-star. He suffers from professional stagnation and family issues. Trying to get back to sports Olympus he starts to train a school basketball team with diversified ethnical content. The movie by Gavin O’Connor is a recent one released in March of 2020.
Overcomer
A story about basketball trainer, John Harrison, who changed a type of activity and became an athletics coach due to closure of the local enterprise and disbandment of his team. Now he trains a complicated long-distance athlete to the important competition. The sports film appeared on screens in August 2019 and directed by Alex Kendrick.
King Richard
A tale of sports success of sister Williams, tennis-stars trained by their father Richard Williams (Will Smith) is going to be available in November 2020.
