NBA Media Day is known as the official start of the new tournament season. The press has also been allowed to visit team training facilities across the country and ask questions about how the team would meet. Also, the teams’ marketing departments had various plans, some of which surprisingly failed. Here are 8 highlights we would like to share on behalf of Media Day.
1. Steven Adams’ mustache

The Flying Kiwi Elbow, a nickname that I am still thinking about, appeared with a great mustache. It symbolized elegancy and respect. I expected it would continue for two weeks until Russell Westbrook practically mocked him, and Adams shyly removed it.
2. Dwight Howard was not so funny
Dwight Howard is an exceptional basketball player, and far from a great comedian.
Dwight met new Rockets media relations guy Brian Travis. Introduced himself with, “Hi, I’m Jack Johnson.”

Honestly, it wasn’t really a joke; it was just a lie. He lied to that man about who he was. Dwight Howard is not Jack Johnson. He is Dwight Howard.
Besides, someone gave Howard apparel to play with.
3. Marcin Gortat and Martell Webster’s mohawks
This year, I’m betting on the Wizards.
4. DeMar DeRozan regrets long-distance telephone fees
DeMar DeRozan shared an exciting story about the time when he found out Kyle Lowry would come back to the Raptors, and how it cost him much.
DeMar on how he found out Kyle was re-signing w/ Raps: “I was on the plane going to the Philippines. I spent $45 talking to him.”

The best was his astonished reaction to Lowry’s great news. “Wonderful, man, great. Now hang up because it costs me a fortune.”
5. Paul Millsap’s sleepy photos

Yes, someone in the marketing department was given enormous kudos for this.
7. Terrence Jones likes dinosaurs
The heading said: In dinosaur, “Rawr” means I love you. #RocketsMediaDay
8. JJ Redick on fatherhood
JJ Redick on the birth of his son: “When he first came out, I thought he was an alien from ‘Prometheus.'”

His baby’s name is Knox, as the fortress. We wish happiness for his family.
