1. Don’t look away
The baseball player decided to keep his eyes on the ball no matter what. Also, gloves are overrated – this Diamondbacks fielder can catch a ball using just his face. Hopefully, it wasn’t too painful!
2. Body shot
True professionals know how a body shot can completely change the tides of any fight. In this photo, you see a cage fighter performing a fine left body kick, which rocks his opponent’s torso and distorting the tattoo on his back at the same time. The receiver of this harsh kick will have sore ribs the next morning.
3. Beware of the coach
Coaches think about just one thing – the game. They don’t want to deal with stupidity, particularly when it threatens to delay the match. Rather than wait for security to arrest a rogue fan, this coach decided to handle the situation on his own and showed a nice form on the judo throw.
4. Always be prepared for the cameras
Sports stars similar to other celebs constantly live in the spotlight. Here’s an example of the camera crew taking pictures of an NBA superstar LeBron James while he watches the game from the sidelines and lodges a finger into his nostril. Unluckily for the King, the world saw him pick his nose.
5. Multi-tasking dad
A baseball game is a perfect reason for friends and family to get together and spend an excellent day outside. These fans who paid extra for the best seats managed to participate in the game. The Cubs fans took a big risk upon himself when performing a historical grab with a child in his hand in front of Dodgers’ Cody Bellinger. An exceptional example of control and balance.
6. Personal space isn’t a thing in basketball
Sports usually cause the full spectrum of emotions for competitors. Despite their proximity, this exchange between Tristan Thompson and David West was anything but friendly. The two big me who have played against each other in the NBA for years really got under each other’s skin. The referees had to put a lot of effort into breaking the players away from each other.
7. Cold as ice
Just one photo can say a lot about someone’s personality. Kobe Bryant was famous for being a cold-blooded assassin when he was on the basketball court, and this photo illustrates it better than anything. Here is being antagonized by an expert annoyer Matt Barnes and yet remains calm.
8. Heads Up
The utter terror over an entire section of the Angles stadium is shown in this picture. The crowd of fans is terrified by the look of a bat flying towards them. This is probably the worst-case scenario for the people sitting in the near proximity to the field. Luckily, it appears that everybody’s aware of the danger, so it’s highly unlikely that someone got seriously injured. Just another reason why looking at your phone during a game is a bad idea.
9. What determination looks like
An enormous amount of power is required to throw a stone sphere. This athlete is giving everything he has to the throw, and the funny facial expression is a nice side effect.
10. A powerful illusion
Chris Sale, one of the greatest pitchers ever, puts an enormous amount of energy and force into his unique fastball. As a result, his elbow seems almost unnatural in the motion captured in this photo. It even creates an illusion that his elbow is dislocated. But in reality, the movement results in an almost unhittable pitch.
11. Mirror Wall
This wakeboarder looks like he performs in a pair with his twin. Probably, he doesn’t even have a twin, but what he does have is a ton of courage. This extreme sportsman does a very dangerous trick. The trick itself is scary enough, but the fact that he does not even wear a helmet is straight-up madness. A modern daredevil, ladies and gentlemen.
12. Sweet taste of victory
This old sports tradition is called the Gatorade bath. When there’s a big win, someone from the team in our case, the coach, gets flooded with the energy drink in celebration of the success. Known mainly for the basketball program, the University of Duke celebrated a rare win by showering their coach David Cutcliffe with a ton of lemon-lime Gatorade.
